YSY Group: International Investment Company Backed by Shanghai Hengda

Our client wanted to create a logo that would represent an international investment group originating from China. “YSY” stands for “Ye Shi Yuan”, or 也是园, was one of the four ancient gardens in Shanghai. This ancient garden is nowhere near its former glory and cannot be restored to what it was. Thus, our client wanted to use this name to build their own beautiful garden of investments around the world.

The logo was specifically designed to encapsulate “Ye Shi Yuan” in Chinese seal form that would be aesthetically transferrable internationally, along with the English lettering “YSY”.

As our client spoke mostly Mandarin only, we had the opportunity to practise our Mandarin and also ensure we found an effective way to communicate our ideas to him.
